There are many emerging energy technologies offering the promise of reducing environmental impact in the society and also improving the efficiency. There´s where Nanotechnology comes in, giving the possibility of solving the challenge of efficiency, less expensive and environmental technologies. The connection between nanotechnology and energy is now indissoluble.
This conference aims at reviewing nanoenergy advances in the fields of transport, building and portable devices. Nano-enabled batteries and fuel cells will promote the deployment of electrical vehicles leading to a significant reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. High efficient solar cells based on nanowires, quantum dots or thin films technologies will accelerate the insertion of renewable energies. Nanotechnologies in mobile phones, power tools will lead to longer lifetime, and more efficient devices.
This conference will emphasis the power of the nanoscale in all these energy applications.
